Citing the ʿAbbasid caliph al-Mustansir billah (AH 623-640 / AD 1226-1242) in a circle looped thrice into the margin, ‘lā ilāha illā Allāh / Muḥammad rasūl / Allāh al-imām A/bū Jaʿfar’ (‘There is no deity but Allah. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. Imam Abu Jaʿfar’ in Arabic); continued in the margin, ‘al-Mustanṣir billāh amīr al-muʾminīn’ (‘al-Mustansir billah, Commander of the Believers’ in Arabic). Rev. Citing the Ayyubid al-Kamil Abu’l-Maʿali Muhammad (AH 615-635 / AD 1218-1238) in a circle looped thrice into the margin, ‘al-malik al-Kā/mil Abu’l-Maʿālī / Muḥammad ibn Abū Bakr / ibn Ayyūb’ (‘King al-Kamil Abu’l-Maʿali Muhammad son of Abu Bakr son of Ayyub’ in Arabic); blundered mint and date formula in the margin.
